Description
Extra sweet pods and even 14 days earlier than Sugar Snap variety, these 24-30″ vines need no trellising or support. The pods are medium green, 2.5-3 inch round blunt pods with 7 peas. The extra sweet pods are great to eat right off of the vine and freeze well.

You can also plant your peas with bush beans, pole beans, carrots, celery, chicory, cucumber, eggplant, parsley, early potato, radish, spinach, strawberry, sweet pepper, tomatoes and turnips. Keep your Sugar Ann Snap Peas away from chives, grapes, late potatoes and onions.

Planting and Care Directly seed into rich garden soil. Germination can occur over a wide range of temperatures (45 – 75 deg), but cooler is best. For succession plantings, plant 4 weeks apart. If weather is warm, plant in partial shade or use row covers. Grow as a winter crop in temperate climates. Provide average water and use protective row covers to protect against hot weather. Apply fertilizer when 3″ (7.5cm) tall.
Harvest Pick pods when they reach 2.5 – 3 in. To encourage production, do not allow excess to remain on the vine. The extras can be frozen.
Your Health Peas are a good source of protein, fiber, minerals, and vitamins A, C, and B.
