Long Island Brussels Sprouts produce a heavy crop of delicious blue-green sprouts that are extremely cold hardy. Frost improves the flavor. Plant this heirloom in the early spring for a fall crop in the North. The vitamin-rich heads are delicious when used fresh or frozen.
Brussel sprouts are compatible with basil, beans, dill, garlic, hyssop, lettuce, mint, onion, rosemary, sage and thyme. They do not like grapes and rue.
