Globe Gilia, Gilia capitata
Globe gilia or Bluehead gilia is an annual native to much of Western North America. Globe Gilia has showy globe-shaped flower clusters in shades of white, pink, lavender, or light blue that sit atop lacy foliage. This easy-to-grow annual should be planted in full sun in well-drained soils and requires little supplemental moisture. It propagates easily by seed. Gilia is an excellent pollinator plant that attracts native bees and butterflies. Plant it in your pollinator garden, meadow garden, or alongside your vegetables to attract pollinators and other beneficial insects.
