Description
Chives are grown as a perennial in most climates and make a colorful, useful addition to any garden. The slender grass-like leaves have a delicate onion flavor and are used for flavoring many dishes. The attractive, edible, violet flowers can be used as a garnish, in vinegar or in dried flower arrangements. Use as an edging or in pots, indoors or out.
Chives are a friend to apples, carrots, tomatoes, brassica and many others. This herb is known to improve the flavor of your tomatoes and carrots and will protect tomatoes, mums and sunflowers from aphids. This is a highly beneficial herb for your garden!
