Description
Origanum vulgare
Oregano is prized for its flavorful leaves and has been widely used in several Mediterranean cuisines for hundreds of years as well as many Mexican dishes. This herb is a perennial and will grow about 10″ tall. Plant in shallow saucers for winter microgreens and harvest by snipping off tender young shoots with scissors. The young shoots have a more subtle flavor than the mature leaves.
Oregano likes to be planted near broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and grapes. This herb can be planted with most crops but does especially well with cabbage.

Harvest: Cut young stems as needed for fresh use. Oregano dries easily and retains its flavor well.
