Description
Speckles Bibb Lettuce is an old Amish, heirloom, butterhead type that has consistently great performance and matures quickly. Fluffy, apple-green leaves are uniquely flecked with red-maroon polka dots and form a tight bibb-like head with a blanched heart. The sweet buttery flavor is a great addition to your salad bowl or on sandwiches. The compact heads are great for gardens with limited space.
Speckles Bibb Lettuce does well with beets, bush beans, pole beans, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, onion, radish and strawberries in your garden or containers. You can also plant your lettuce at the base of young sunflowers for a little shade.
