Description
Narrowleaf Penstemon, Penstemon angustifolius
This beautiful, drought-tolerant wildflower is loved by hummingbirds and other pollinators. Native to the high grasslands, it is a great plant for erosion control on sandy dunes, plains, and grasslands or urban xeriscaping. Fall plantings are best to break the dormancy of these seeds. The tall stalks with violet to pink flowers bloom in the early spring.
