Description
Showy Primrose, Oenothera speciosa
This showy native of the grasslands of the southern United States has an abundance of large, poppy-like delicate pink flowers fading to white toward the center and yellow in the throat. Forming an upright bush of fine light green foliage, this low-maintenance Showy Primrose species likes full sun, is adaptable to moisture availability, spreads easily, and will grow as a perennial in warm climates. This plant loves drought conditions and is also cold-tolerant.
