Description

These luscious tomatoes will complete the summer garden. This heavy producer is a widely adapted, all-purpose heirloom from the Black Sea area of Russia with dark reddish-purple, almost black, fruit with the perfect blend of acid and sugar. Black Krim Tomato is a medium-sized plant of indeterminate habit and an excellent choice for salads, juices, canning, relishes and cooking.

Tomatoes grow well with asparagus, basil, beans, carrots, celery, chives, cucumber, garlic, head lettuce, marigold, mint, nasturtium, onion, parsley, peas, peppers and marigold. Basil will repel flies and mosquitoes from your tomato plants while also improving the growth and flavor. Beebalm, chives and mint will improve the health and flavor of your tomatoes. Keep potatoes, fennel, dill, cabbage and cauliflower away from your tomato plants.

For container gardening, use a large container, at least 18″ wide and 2 feet deep with a serious stake or trellis/cage.
